We are here to help anyone who is worried that a young person (up to age 25) may be at risk of falling into drug abuse or criminality. Should you be worried? Maybe, maybe not. We are here if you need someone to talk to, someone to share your concerns with, someone to lean on, or someone to get advice from. The problems are easier to deal with if you react as soon as you see the first signs something is wrong. Some of the things people typically worry about are that a young person has begun skipping school, shoplifting, smoking, drinking, or associating with a destructive group of friends. We have a great deal of experience working with at-risk children and youth. We are used to working with parents, siblings and others who are worried or have questions. We have been helping young people overcome criminal behaviour and drug abuse since 1969. The Hassela Helpline is how we provide support to others who want to help young people whose lives and futures may be at risk. We know negative trends can be turned around and made positive.
